“CANstruction Indiana” is a student driven competition meant to raise both awareness and food donations for the Fort Wayne area Community Harvest Food Bank, as well as foster mentoring relationships between students and design and construction industry professionals. In its first three years, the competition paired student/teacher teams with professional mentors from the architectural, engineering, and construction industries. We were fortunate to be able to participate with a team from Carroll High School for three consecutive years, and subsequently produce the following award winning projects.
These CANstruction projects were designed and built through the cooperative efforts of BCV architect Brian Bohlender, Carroll HS teachers Marti Weihi and Ashley O’Cock, and most importantly the great student teams from Carroll High School, with contributions and support from students and parents across all of the Northwest Allen County schools.
